Easy All Time Salad Favorites Your Family Will Love

If you are having trouble getting your family to eat their veggies why not try out some salad favorites to see if they bite. All you need is fresh veggies a vegetable slicer and a good salad dressing to create mouthwatering salads that may just make veggie lovers out of them yet.

The Basics

The Green Salad has been around for ever and is an easy first start because you can add just about anything to the salad based on what your family will enjoy. Consider grabbing your vegetable slicer and preparing an assortment of fresh vegetables and allow everyone to make their own salad. You can use the basics starting with a few different types of greens and then add cucumbers, peppers, radishes, carrots, celery, tomatoes and anything else you think they might enjoy. Dona��t be afraid to throw in some fruit and nuts as well and put out a few salad dressing options for them to taste. They are bound to find something they will enjoy.

Caesar Salad

Because of the fresh creamy flavor of garlic the Caesar is a salad very few people can dislike. It also offers crispy croutons, bacon and cheese making it appealing to a number of people.

Chicken Salad

A nice summer option is to incorporate veggies and fruit to a chicken salad. You can use just a simple mayo to dress it up and then dice up some celery, apples and any other veggies you think people will like. You can even slice up some grapes. Walnuts and almonds are also nice in chicken salad and you can serve it wrapped in a pita or tortilla.

Pasta Salads

Everyone loves pasta and maybe you can entice them to eat their veggies served in a nice Pasta salad. Fresh cherry tomatoes and basil tossed with a pesto sauce is always nice or you can prepare tomatoes bruschetta style with olive oil, garlic and basil and toss that in to your favorite pasta. You can also create salads with a Mexican twist using mayo and salsa with avocado, tomato cheese and peppers or an Asian twist with ginger, sesame oil and soy. The skya��s the limit when it comes to pasta salads and dona��t forget about roasted veggies grilled on the barbecue in the summer.
