The ceramic clay is molded into the shape of the sink and is dried at an extremely high temperature, as much as 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, for a maximum of 40 hours. The dried clay is then coated with porcelain enamel and then re-fired at high temperatures for about 20 hours. This helps to fuse the enamel to the clay, making the sink very durable and longer lasting.
